Hey, thanks for the reply and sorry for taking so long to answer it. When i first set this solution the company I worked for was around 300 people, 100 of them were IT and only a third of that would be eligible for a VPN connection. So, that was easy to maintain and I only asked people to come over my desk and read the QR code from the screen directly on their phones. In case you have a bigger company I have some other ideas that can help you out:

  1. You can also automate the QR code by generating an image file and sending them to your users by e-mail. Just remind that I strongly recommend encrypting and signing the e-mail, which is something really hard to have in place for most companies/users;
  2. The QR code is just a string, maybe you can generate it and send it through WhatsApp/Telegram to your users. This way you know it was encrypted. The con would be that the user will have to copy and paste the code into the Google MFA app, which is not a big deal IMHO.
