How are you providing the password and MFA code to the client? Remember that this is something specific to each clients but usually they require you to input the MFA and Password together in the same field. If for example your user's password is "pokemon" and the MFA code is "123123" then the value you need to specify in the password field must be: "123123pokemon".

Again, let me stress this, this is a client specific feature so I recommend you reading the documentation for your VPN client application.
