I have been working with Python for some type, and the more I work with it the more cool things I learn. One of the the most awesome things I learned in 2020 was MyPy. If you haven't learned about the way how Python introduced optional type hinting to the language I totally recommend reading about it and learning it as well.
Then this week I resumed my work on one of my open source projects called projectpy and while I was writing one of the classes I ended up with this:
root_dir: str @property…
So, Windows Terminal came out some time ago and finally we have a good terminal on Windows (plus it supports WSL2). One of the most frequent complaints I get about it is that you cannot open PowerShell as Admin from it.
Although my solution is not perfect I believe it is good enough until Microsoft fix this issue.
The way I worked around this limitation is by adding an Elevate profile that will spawn a new Windows Terminal window as admin user and then you can open the PowerShell profile which will be elevated!
Here is the profile you need…
I remember as if it was yesterday, because… well, it was! I saw her playing with her friend at the beach; as if they were mocking each other while also playing tag. I saw her and I was hypnotized. Like the whole world focusing on a single object. Only. A. Single. Object. Nothing else. One. Later that night I went to the bar and there I saw her again. We crossed eyes. We noticed each other. We smiled. I gathered all the courage I had… and my drink. Piña Colada. Just because. Anyway, I walked towards her and said hi…
Let me tell you a story. My name is Dorothy and once I was a music teacher at a local school. One sunny afternoon a young lad came in looking for singing classes, well… that’s kind of my expertise. I greeted and invited him to follow me to one of our studying rooms so we could talk more and maybe even have a free class so he could have a taste of how we did things there. No strings attached.
One of the first things we do in our intake classes is to understand why people want to sing, what…
There was a time when talking about privacy was something only aluminum foil hat wearing people would do while others would stare in sheer awkwardness. Then came online payments, online banking and online trading. Suddenly, privacy became a synonym of access to my assets, shopping habits, documents and, obviously, my money.
After, came social media and with it other types of personal information like name, family members, routines, places you like, places people you love like and frequent. Addresses. Work addresses. Marital status. Gender. Sexual fantasies. Photos. Videos. Chats. Messages that ten years in the future might be totally inappropriate…
O friends, no more of these sounds!
Let us sing more cheerful songs,
More songs full of joy!
Joy, bright spark of divinity,
Daughter of Elysium,
Fire-inspired we tread
Within thy sanctuary.
Thy magic power re-unites
All that custom has divided,
All men become brothers,
Under the sway of thy gentle wings.
A shot in the dark and knees on the floor are forever bound. A boy, who are in heaven, hallowed be his name. In a dark room, waiting in home, his tiny kingdom to come, but with shots thy will be…
The Rose That Grew from Concrete
Did you hear about the rose that grew
from a crack in the concrete?
Proving nature’s law is wrong it
learned to walk with out having feet.
Funny it seems, but by keeping its dreams,
it learned to breathe fresh air.
Long live the rose that grew from concrete
when no one else ever cared.
Cold. Wind. Swing.
As a mechanical clock life fades away, desperately counting numbers until, suddenly, is nothing but late. Through its white veil, death accepts me while He, the master of ceremonies, patiently stares at me…

We often believe monsters are the shadows in a bedroom. An unseen but felt presence next to my bed that immediately disappears when I open my eyes. A monster, more frequently than not, is pictured as ugly, malformed, a probable demental and untamed beast.
Monsters. Monsters crawling around corners, blindly looking for food. Starving. Seeking. Defacing. Unwanted.
A despised scourge that defy crossing the limiar to our realms. How dare them. Begone. Monsters.
Monsters… these monsters. They are, as we all know it, unreal.
But real, undoubtedly real…
